Geometry Dash is a rhythm-based running and jumping game where the player controls a cube to overcome obstacles to the beat of music. The game requires quick reflexes, absolute concentration and precise control skills. Every collision with sharp object or falling into a chasm means you have to start over, making the game challenging but also extremely attractive.
The game was developed by Robert Topala, a Swedish creator, and first launched on August 13, 2013 with 7 basic levels. Initially, Geometry Dash had simple levels, but with updates and especially the map creation mode, players can design their own levels, expanding the game world infinitely. Version 2.2 released in 2023 added many new mechanics, making Geometry Dash one of the most famous rhythm games in the world.
The game has 26 official levels, divided by difficulty:
• Easy: Stereo Madness, Back On Track
• Medium: Polargeist, Dry Out
• Hard: Base After Base, Can’t Let Go
• Harder: Jumper, Time Machine, Cycles, Blast Processing
• Extreme: xStep, Clutterfunk, Electrodynamix, Fingerdash
• Demon: Clubstep, Deadlocked
• Platformer: The Tower, The Sewers
Players control a cube or other icons through transformation portals:
• Ship: Moves up and down like a spaceship
• Ball: Roll horizontally, bounces to the opposite platform when jumping
• UFO: Jumps multiple times in space
• Wave: Moves in a zigzag pattern
• Robot: Jumps high or low based on key presses
• Spider: Changes gravity when touching the platform
• Swing: Moves in a wave pattern
