About RE:RUN
RE:RUN is an innovative and engaging platform game. It's not just a 3D action game—it's a space-time maze where every jump and every attack can be "cancelled" and restarted with just a… power-up.
A Rewind Mechanic: The Stronger You Get, the Further You Go Back
The most unique feature of RE:RUN is the "rewind" mechanic—rewinding time every time you pick up a power-up. Not the Prince of Persia-style rewinding that rewinds time by seconds, but rewinding your entire character’s position to the original spawn point, while everything else remains the same—including enemy positions, changed terrain, and what you've just destroyed.
- You have to memorize the entire map layout, because after each weapon pick-up, you'll return to the starting point and have to approach the enemy from a completely new angle.
- “Repositioning” helps you escape unfavorable situations but can also leave you surrounded if you don’t plan ahead.
- Each power-up becomes a big decision, no longer a matter of “picking up as many as possible.”
Impressive Combat Design
Unlike linear platformers, RE:RUN puts you in floating arenas where you need to move with precision jumps, weaving between enemies with varied AI and unpredictable behavior.
- Precision attacks: There’s no auto-lock. Each attack requires proper aiming and spacing.
- Use the terrain wisely: Jump high to observe, retreat to tight corners, or push enemies into cliffs.
- Remember AI behavior: Some enemies only appear after you pick up a weapon, forcing you to think two steps ahead before each action.

Simple Controls
- WASD / Arrow Keys: Move
- Left Mouse: Attack
- Space: Jump
- Shift: Sprint
- Mouse Hover: Rotate the Camera
Playing RE:RUN Requires Real Strategy
- Re-strategy after every rewind: You don’t just return to the starting point—you return to a “changed map,” where you have to immediately reassess the situation and think of a new approach.
- Power-ups are a double-edged sword: You may have just picked up a super-powerful hammer, but in return you’re in a less advantageous position, or you’ve lost track of a weakened enemy. Deciding when to pick it up or not becomes a crucial problem.
- Linear thinking no longer works: RE:RUN breaks the usual “run from A to B” logic. Instead, you’re always spinning, so every action has to be considered for the next round.
A Bold Idea, Successfully Executed
RE:RUN is a bold idea that’s successfully executed. With unique timing mechanics, innovative floating arenas, and clever action, the game feels both strange and familiar, fast and deep.
