Upwarp is a platform puzzle game that turns a portal into your most important tool. Guide a blue cube through clever layouts, adjust your warp height, and find the right route to the exit.

Carry a Portal Above Your Head

In Upwarp, the portal follows your character as you move through each stage. Instead of relying on traditional jumping, use the warp to reach higher platforms, cross obstacles, and move between different sections of the level.

Change the Warp Height

Size-changing elements let you control the height of your portal and open up new routes.

• Plus power-ups: Increase the portal height.
• Minus power-ups: Decrease the portal height.
• Warp-sizing tiles: Adjust the portal by one block.
• Numbered tiles: Change the height by a specific amount.
• Flipping tiles: Raise or lower the warp when activated.

Changing the portal at the right moment is essential for reaching platforms and avoiding blocked paths.

New Obstacles Along the Way

Use Springs With Care

Springs can launch the blue cube high into the air, but you cannot warp while bouncing. This makes their timing important, especially when a spring is placed near platforms or other hazards. Think about where you will land before activating one.

Collect Portal Orbs in the Upwarp game 

Some stages require you to collect portal orbs before the exit becomes usable. You may need to adjust the warp height and explore different sections of the level to gather them all. Collecting every orb can turn a straightforward route into a multi-step puzzle.

Upwarp Controls to get to the exit

• W / Up Arrow: Warp upward
• A / Left Arrow: Move left
• D / Right Arrow: Move right
• S / Down Arrow: Move down
• R: Reset the level
• Esc: Return/go back

Reach the Final Portal

The later stages demand more careful planning as new tiles begin affecting your warp height and movement. Numbered doors, arrow tiles, springs, and other mechanics force you to rethink familiar strategies. Once you understand how each element interacts with the portal, even complicated rooms become easier to break down into smaller steps.
